Charge Pod won the EV product launch category with the judges commenting that:
“Simple effectiveness won the day in the category for product launch. “It was comfortably the most ground-breaking of all the submissions” – Motor Transport Awards judges
It is an honour to announce that we, in partnership with the RAC, have won the Best Use of Technology category at the Motor Transport Awards.
For 35 years, the Motor Transport Awards have been seen as a benchmark for excellence among UK road transport fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers and other innovators.
The MT Awards are all about recognising excellence and while 2020 was a difficult year in many ways it is even more important to reflect the efforts and achievements of the people who made sure the UK was kept going through the crisis.
We entered our Charge Pod system into this award in partnership with the RAC because it is imperative that fleet operators dealing with electric vehicles are provided with the capability of delivering a power boost to flat or severely depleted EVs which are unable to reach a static charging station.
Now that use of EVs has dramatically increased, Charge Pod has proved itself to be an essential product to the RAC and has enabled the RAC the keep electric vehicle drivers up and running even in the challenging circumstances we have faced in the past year.
This award is a fantastic tribute to both of our outstanding teams!

It is an absolute honour to announce that we (in partnership with the RAC) have made the shortlist for TWO award categories with our bespoke Charge Pod solution at the UK Business Tech Awards 2021.
The UK Business Tech Awards celebrate the UK’s finest tech businesses and rewards innovative and exceptional application of technology to transform and grow businesses. We are delighted to have received national recognition for the following categories:
Best Use of Innovation: Innovation is the backbone of progress, which is a word that strikes at the very heart of technology. This category aims to celebrate the pioneers using technology to throw out the old and bring in the new with extraordinary results in their sector. The judges will be looking for evidence of how innovation has had a transformative effect on outcomes.
Transformation Through Technology: An award to recognise a company or organisation who have successfully transformed an element of their business or operation through successful application of technology. Judges will be looking for demonstrable evidence and results of real, quantifiable transformation through innovation.
We believe our pioneering Charge Pod system is a very worthy contender for these prestigious awards because Charge Pod enables the RAC to provide the same “out of fuel” service as it would to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles to the growing EV market in the most innovative way possible. Other solutions currently on the global market are simply unsuitable and are either not fit for purpose, significantly increase emissions of CO2 and NOx and/or can’t be used on existing patrol vehicles that are currently in service.

The Fleet News Awards offer an unparalleled awards evening that honours and recognises excellence across every part of the fleet sector.
