Charge Pod Gets Stranded Hospital Patient back to his EV charging station at home.
In an emergency, a panicked and ill EV Nissan LEAF owner drove himself to hospital, where the electric vehicle battery had become severely depleted upon arrival. After receiving the medical attention needed, the RAC customer knew he was going to need assistance getting his vehicle to a static charging point.
To the relief of the exhausted customer, the RAC were able to get this EV user on his way in no time at all, thanks to Charge Pod. After a short, sharp charge, the driver was provided with a 15-mile range, which was enough to get the customer to his EV charging station at home.
Being so light & compact the system fits into standard patrol vehicles. So, in unpredictable circumstances like this, the resources and equipment are available from a standard patrol vehicle which saves the need to deploy a flatbed recovery truck. Not only does this drastically reduce the CO2 which would be released by sending a flatbed, but Charge Pod offers a far more convenient solution for the end user.
